Middlesbrough Shopmobility have launched a scheme in partnership with Stewart Park to provide less mobile visitors with a more convenient made of travel around the park comprehensive networks of tarmac public footpaths.
The scheme has introduced a fleet of mobility scooters and wheelchairs for hire from Stewart Park information point located next to the animal enclosure. These are available for hire 7 days a week from 10am - 6pm until the end of the British summer time in October. The hire is £1.00 to existing shopmobility clients and £2.00 for visitors and non-members.
