Family Information Service, Middlesbrough offers a free and impartial information, advice and guidance service on childcare.

Our service includes:

• FREE information on all childcare
• Assessment of parent’s requirements to match them to suitable childcare
• Information leaflets about the various types of childcare

Our aim is to give you the names and telephone numbers of approximately three childminders or childcare facilities who are able to offer the care you need within 3 working days of your request.

Details of local and national support groups and organisations concerned with children’s issues.

We can help you find childcare for your own children if you would like to go into learning or work.

Our service is impartial, confidential and delivered complying with relevant codes of practice and relevant legislation to ensure that every client is given the best possible service and opportunity.

All our services are free of charge.
