Recycling
New improved kerbside service
Cardboard, tetra pak and battery collections.
An improved kerbside recycling service hits Middlesbrough's streets from 06/07/2010.
Residents should look out for their new Waste and recycling leaflet with information on additions to the kerbside recycling collections.
Middlesbrough residents will now be able to recycle more materials from their doorstep by putting cardboard in the blue bags along with their paper recycling and tetra pak cartons in the black box along with their glass bottles and jars and their food and drinks cans.
Along with an information leaflet on the new improved service, residents should also be receiving small bags in which to put their old, small household domestic batteries (batteries used in small, portable electronic devices and toys) for recycling. Once full, the bag should be sealed and placed on top of the black box for collection.
Recycling bring sites
| Do you want to recycle things we cannot currently accept or have more recycling than you can fit in your kerbside recycling boxes or blue bags?
If you answered yes, you can make use of the 13 recycling bring sites throughout Middlesbrough where you can take plastic bottles, excess glass, cans, paper and even clothing. These are located in car parks for ease of use, the map below shows their location and explains what materials you can recycle at each bring site. Just simply turn up and place your recycling in the appropriate bank. |
