Following a transfer in 2004, Middlesbrough Council's housing is now owned and managed by Erimus Housing, a not-for-profit social landlord. 

Middlesbrough has over 57,412 homes, approximately, 66% of these are owner-occupier and around 19% are owned and managed by Erimus.  We aim to provide a wide choice of homes in Middlesbrough to meet resident's needs.

Housing StrategyThis section covers work done with Middlesbrough's residents and a range of partner organisations in the region to identify and address the town's housing needs and aspirations.

Housing AssistanceThe Housing Assistance Team provides help to owner occupiers to improve their properties through grant and loan support and assist the vunerable members of society to enable property repairs and improvements to be undertaken.

Housing Regeneration
Our housing regeneration section deals with the parts of Middlesbrough that are suffering from housing market failure through low demand, dereliction, poor housing conditions and lack of investment.  We also have information on the New Vision for Older Housing scheme.
