Arts Development

Arts Development is part of Economic Development, Culture and Communities Service.

Our aim is to help create a sustainable arts infrastructure in Middlesbrough, through developing artists and creative organisations, supporting art form development, and engaging a wide range of people across the town to encourage greater participation in the arts and attendance at arts events.

We develop and deliver a range of activities including projects, commissions and training. We also work with a wide range of partners, providing specialist knowledge to support arts activity delivered by other organisations and other council services.

We are currently developing Youth Music, Arts Forum, Gallery TS1, Company TS5, MAP Artist Network, and Youth Dance projects.
