How To Book
By Phone: Telephone 01642 81 51 81 to buy your tickets with any of the major credit/debit cards. An additional charge of £1 will be made to cover postage and handling. Reserved tickets will be held for three working days, or until 5pm on the day before the performance. Calls are answered in strict rotation.
By Email: You can email your ticket order to boxoffice@middlesbrough.gov.uk
In Person: Call into the Box Office at Middlesbrough Theatre where our friendly staff will be pleased to help you choose your seats. Tickets may also be booked at the Tourist Office Centres in Darlington, Guisborough, Redcar and Saltburn.
In The Town Centre: Tickets can be booked at the Town Hall Box Office on Albert Road – Tel 01642 729 729. Town Hall events can also be booked at the Theatre.
By Post: Write to The Box Office, Middlesbrough Theatre, The Avenue, Middlesbrough, TS5 6SA stating the event and ticket choice. Cheques and Postal Orders should be crossed and made payable to MBC; please write your cheque guarantee number and the event details on the back of your cheque and don’t forget to enclose an SAE. Please include a daytime number in case we need to contact you.
Discounts: Children, Students and senior citizens are entitled to concessionary rates on most shows. If you are organising a group booking you may be entitled to a discount. Only one discount is available per ticket. Proof of eligibility will be required.
Refunds: Unfortunately, tickets cannot be exchanged or money refunded, except in the event of a cancelled performance.
Babes In Arms: To comply with fire regulations, a ticket must be purchased for all children, regardless of age.
Special Needs: The Theatre can accommodate up to six wheelchairs per performance, one free ticket will be issued for each companion. We regret that access to the bar is via stairs: drinks may be ordered and collected from the ground floor kiosk. An infra-red system is available for the hard of hearing using discreet headsets, which are available from the box office. Please let us know your requirements at the time of booking to ensure you have a comfortable visit.
Change Of Programme: We do our best to ensure that all details are correct at time of going to print. However, circumstances beyond our control do sometimes force us to make changes to the published programme. Advance booking is always recommended.
Data Protection: When you book with us, we will ask you for your name, address and telephone number. In return, we will be able to inform you of any last-minute changes to your performance. You will be asked separately if you wish to join our free mailing list.
Mailing List: Join our free mailing list and keep up-to-date with productions at Middlesbrough Theatre, Middlesbrough Town Hall and other events promoted by Middlesbrough Council Cultural Services. Ask at the Box Office for details.
Smoking Policy: Smoking is not permitted in or near the theatre.
Parking Facilities: Free security-controlled car park on site.
