Youth dance Middlesbrough

Young people across Middlesbrough are being offered the chance to get active and get dancing as part of an exciting new initiative. Youth Dance Middlesbrough will see them encouraged to dance, energise, move and express themselves more fluently, through fun and challenging urban dance styles. The project is part of the Healthy Towns initiative and will deliver a high quality programme of affordable dance activity in six venues throughout the town, helping young people aged between 8 and 24 to achieve a healthier lifestyle. The programme which can be seen below runs until March 2011 and will see young people dancing in the streets, community venues and theatres. Classes start from £1.

Showcases are to take place at the Town Hall on Saturday 20th March at 6pm and watch out for our Big Dance Week in July 8th, 9th, 10th, there will be a range of workshops, taster sessions and performances. If you are a school teacher, youth worker or dance teacher and want a taster workshop or take part in showcases then please contact us. |
