Middlesbrough’s Parks and Countryside sites provide opportunities for active recreation and relaxation, play, peace and tranquillity. From the Victorian heritage of Albert Park, the parkland views of Stewart Park and woodland tranquillity of Fairy Dell to the hustle and bustle of Newham Grange Farm, or excitement of Prissick Plaza there is a lot to choose from, whatever your age or interests.

Middlesbrough Council has been awarded Green Flag awards for five of its Parks, Fairy Dell, Albert Park, Pallister Park, Linthorpe Cemetery and Hemlington Lake and Recreation Centre. We are continually redeveloping our Parks and Open Spaces to ensure that they continue to meet the interests and needs of visitors.

Why not visit a Park or countryside site this weekend and enjoy some fresh air and exercise? More information on where to ride, walk or cycle is available via the links on the right.
