Southlands Centre
Southlands Leisure Centre is a thriving part of the innovative and ambitious redevelopment of a school complex in East Middlesbrough. The Centre is an outstanding example of how government funding through the urban programme can benefit local communities.
Southlands plays an important role in Middlesbrough’s recreational life, attracting large numbers of users from all over the town and beyond.
It has a large four court Sports Hall which is used for 5-a-side football, basketball, hockey and cricket. It also has a full size outdoor artificial pitch that can be used for both 7-a-side football and hockey.
