Workplace Travel Plans
We are currently working with large businesses and new developments to aid in devising, developing and implementing travel plans. We currently have a number of business tools in place for the workplace travel planner to utilise with employers. One of the main ones we are using is the ‘Do You Really Need It’ employer’s filofax. This fully explains to businesses and organisations what travel plans are and what measures can be used to effectively promote alternative forms of sustainable transport.
Middlesbrough Council also supports the Tees Valley Car Sharing website – 2 Plus Travel. The car sharing scheme is for anyone who lives, works or travels in the Tees Valley. The scheme is completely free and is designed to be as easy to use as possible for drivers, passengers and those just seeking out more choice in travel options.
Recently the Tees Valley Travel Plan Builder website has been launched. This website enables you to write a travel plan on line by inserting information about your organisation.
