What's on the Big Screen & in Centre Square

Big screen

The Big Screen is situated in Centre Square in central Middlesbrough, outside the mima gallery.

The list below shows the upcoming entertainment that will be shown:

Energy shorts - 10th March
As part of the AV Festival,  the Big Screen will feature moving images and a short film based on the theme of energy. The screening will be shown on Wednesday 10th March at 6.00-7.00pm and will include work by Theo Burt, Katerina Hadravova, Louise Harris and Chris Wright.
Sport Relief - Question of Sport interactive game - 13th March

As part of this year's Sport Relief, the Big Screen will be showing an exciting game developed by the BBC (based on the famous TV quiz). Thanks to some groundbreaking motion-sensing technology, you and your friends can be part of the action simply by making your way to the Big Screen and waving your arms about. Answer a range of sporting trivia questions and score points for your home town.  A Question of Sport team captains Matt Dawson and Phil Tufnell are on screen to guide you through this unique quiz and provide help and encouragement along the way.

While the Big Screen churns out the questions, Diane Youdale from BBC Tees will be at the Big Screen from 12 noon until 2.00pm on Saturday 13th March to keep all contestants happy.

You can see how well Middlesbrough is doing compared to the rest of the nation on the quiz’s leaderboard or by visiting www.bbc.co.uk/sportrelief
