Celebrating the life and achievements of Captain Cook, the world's most famous navigator. The museum has a regular programme of events, exhibitions and activities, which draw upon the life of Captain Cook and the people and lands that he visited.

Over the winter months the museum has had some exciting improvements and refurbishment works carried out, made possible thanks to a legacy grant of £50,000 from the Arts Council Strategic Fund.
