Housework
If you are finding household jobs like cleaning difficult you may be able to get help with your housework.
You can get this sort of help from a home care service. You can apply direct to a home care agency. Remember to check carefully what they offer and how much they charge.
Alternatively the Council may be able to help. You will need to contact the department of social care and ask for an assessment of your needs. We will then look at what sort of help you would like and whether you qualify for home care services provided through the Council.
If you qualify, we can organise the service for you using your 'personal budget', or you can choose the services you would like yourself. If you don't qualify, we can point you towards other sources of help.

How much does help from the Council cost?
If you qualify you may have to contribute towards the cost of this service, but this will depend on your financial circumstances:
