Middlesbrough Integrated Youth Support Service
Middlesbrough Integrated Youth Support Service is the joining up of Middlesbrough Connexions and Middlesbrough Youth Service.
As part of a National Government Strategy, Middlesbrough Integrated Youth Support Services made a promise to the Young People of Middlesbrough. This is called The Youth Offer, details of this can be read below.
Middlesbrough Youth Offer
The Youth Offer sets a baseline with regard to the standard young people should expect from the services and support.
It takes the key challenges and responses (delivery strands) presented by Youth Matters and the demographics and needs of the Young people of Middlesbrough and presents an Offer that will ensure opportunities to meet Middlesbrough's IYSS core purpose:
To put Middlesbrough's young people on the road to success by enhancing and transforming their life chances.
Middlesbrough is taking a 'living', 'learning' and 'lifestyle' themed approach in our Youth Offer. These themes bring together the Youth Matters challenges and responses and encompass the Every Child Matters (ECM) outcomes.
The Youth Offer will ensure that services and support offered will truly reflect and respond to the needs of Middlesbrough young people at a local level.
There will be: Four key delivery strands.
- Targeted Youth Support.- All Young People achieving
- Making a Contribution - Young People as Citizens
- Information, Advice and Guidance - Supporting Choices
- Things to do and Places to go - Empowering Young People
