Transporter Bridge Visitor Centre
| The Transporter Bridge Visitor Centre is currently closed for renovation work as part of the ongoing Heritage Lottery Fund Project. The Visitor Centre will re-open on 2nd May 2013 for the Land, Sea and Sky Exhibition. The Transporter Bridge will continue to operate as normal during this period. This visitor centre is dedicated to the rich industrial heritage of Middlesbrough. One of the powerhouses of the industrial northeast, the town was a major player in the Industrial Revolution, and especially shipping.
The visitor centre promotes the history of the bridge and surrounding area through the use of graphic panels, video, computers, photographs, objects and models.
