A new exhibition of work by local artist Alan Morley is on show at Middlesbrough's popular TS1 Gallery

A new exhibition of work by local artist Alan Morley is on show at Middlesbrough's popular TS1 Gallery.

The gallery on Corporation Road has been showcasing the work of local talent since it opened in 2009.

Gallery TS1 is run by volunteer artists and features artworks ranging from painting and photography to crafts, jewellery and sculpture.

The latest exhibition is a largely unseen body of work by Teesside artist Alan Morley.

Through paintings, prints and cards, Alan's aim is to spread images of the area to a global audience, raising awareness of Teesside's iconic landmarks and famous structures.

Alan's latest exhibition features portrait work which he plans to show at selected venues around the town.

Many of the works - ranging from pencil drawings to oil paintings - have not been displayed in public before and will be on show until Tuesday, June 5.

Gallery TS1 is on Corporation Road, Middlesbrough and opens from 10am to 4pm Tuesday to Saturday.
