Sports Development

The Sports, Health and Fitness Development Team offer a range of programmes at council venues and also in a variety of community settings. We aim to support individuals and communities through providing opportunities that encourage you to start and sustain your participation in sport and physical activity.

Push & Go

Push & Go

Would you like to get fit, lose weight, make new friends and bring baby along too? Then Active Middlesbrough's Push & Go sessions are just what you've been looking for!

The buggy pushing fitness classes get under way in the town's historic Stewart Park on Tuesday, April 9 and are suitable for anyone with a baby and a buggy.

The full six-week Push & Go course is £20. Exercise Referral Programme - Healthy Through Activity

Health Through Activity

Health Through Activity is designed for anyone who is not currently active and those with a health condition, who would benefit from physical activity. The new programme gives people the opportunity of accessing a wide variety of high quality activities to improve their health and well-being. To get involved people need to be referred by their GP. If they feel the programme is appropriate they will be referred to a coordinator. Fit Camps

10 week outdoor bootcamp. Suitable for all fitness levels. Lose weight, get fit, have fun!
