The Sports, Health and Fitness Development Team offer a range of programmes at council venues and also in a variety of community settings. We aim to support individuals and communities through providing opportunities that encourage you to start and sustain your participation in sport and physical activity.
Breakfast, Lunch and After School Clubs

Push & Go
Would you like to get fit, lose weight, make new friends and bring baby along too? Then Active Middlesbrough's Push & Go sessions are just what you've been looking for!
The buggy pushing fitness classes get under way in the town's historic Stewart Park on Tuesday, April 9 and are suitable for anyone with a baby and a buggy.

Chair Based Exercise

Exercise Referral Programme - Healthy Through Activity
Health Through Activity is designed for anyone who is not currently active and those with a health condition, who would benefit from physical activity. The new programme gives people the opportunity of accessing a wide variety of high quality activities to improve their health and well-being. To get involved people need to be referred by their GP. If they feel the programme is appropriate they will be referred to a coordinator.
