Regeneration of the local economy is one of the key challenges for Middlesbrough and the Economic Development team is playing a significant part in meeting that challenge. The teams role is to make the area as business-friendly as possible, for new and growing local businesses and those relocating here from elsewhere in the UK and abroad. Available support covers two broad areas.
- The first is in pointing the way to a range of business support, including grant-funding, available property and expert business advice.
- The second is to help local people to meet the needs of local employers, supplying a workforce that meets changing business needs.
