Help and advice

Meet the team

Hi my name is Beth Bradshaw, I am the Voice of the Child Manager for Middlesbrough Council. My job is to make sure that the voices of you and your families are being heard.

The Participation Team works with lots of children and young people in Middlesbrough because we want to hear how to make things better for you! We know you are experts in your own life, so if you have anything you want to tell us, you can an email

The Participation team also work with lots of professionals to help them understand why it is important that you have your say on decisions that affect your life.

Me and my team are always looking for fun and exciting ways for you to get involved and tell us all about what is important to you and your families!! ☺⭐

Hi! I’m Beth Morley (Beth no. 2). I’m a Participation Officer for Middlesbrough Council’s Children’s Services.

In my job I make sure there are multiple ways you can get your voices heard as well as ensuring information about your life can be easy to understand and accessible.

I support young people by making sure their voices make a real difference for themselves and others around them.

I’m really looking forward to seeing what you all have to say about what needs to change to improve the lives of young people in Middlesbrough! ☺⭐

Hi everyone, I’m Laurie and I’m an apprentice in inclusion.

My role involves me going out into schools and talking to young people about their experiences with inclusion - so look out for a slightly chubby woman with wild hair, it could well be me!!

I love doing my job because it’s a chance to have a chat with young people and find out things that are important to you!

I also run our Twitter page @youthvoicembro, so give us a follow!! #shamelessplug #sorrynotsorry ☺⭐
