Holiday activities and food (HAF) programme

Bring It On! is the new name for the holiday activities and food (HAF) programme in Middlesbrough and Redcar and Cleveland.

Bring It On! runs during the school holidays to offer free, fun activities and food to children and young people aged 5 to 16 years. We understand that the school holidays can be a challenging time for parents, and the HAF can help with this.

Organisations can sign up as 'providers' to offer activities for children. These activities might include:

• sport or physical activity, for example football, swimming, or table tennis
• creative activities, for example music workshops or putting on a play
• experiences, for example a nature walk or visiting a museum

The HAF programme runs during the three main school holidays - Christmas, Easter, and summer.

Easter 2024

Bookings for the Easter holiday activities and food (HAF) programme are now open.

To take part in the HAF programme, your child must be:

• getting benefit-related free school meals
• aged 5 to 16 years (Reception to Year 11) and be in full time education

We've written a report on the HAF programme in 2022/2023, which looks at how well the programme is doing. This includes how many children took part and where they came from, how many providers took part, and how we can improve the HAF programme in 2023/2024.
