Online book of condolences

Restrictions are easing, but you must still remember: Hands. Face. Space. Fresh air. Get the latest information about coronavirus.

Message from the Mayor of Middlesbrough, Andy Preston:

"COVID-19 has been a tragic and horrendous time of sacrifice for all, and deep loss for those personally affected. While we are now working to restart the town and make sure the effects of this dreadful virus are battled, we must not forget that so many people have been taken from us. Those people should be celebrated and remembered - not as victims of the Coronavirus, but as loved and important members of our community. Their memories should be shared and their stories told."

This online book of condolence is here to remind everyone that behind the statistics are people’s friends and family members. If you or someone you know has lost a loved one during the COVID-19 period please share your memories with us here.

You can read the messages which have been submitted on our messages of condolence page.
