A Middlesbrough Council by-election is being held following the resignation of North Ormesby ward member Councillor Ashley Waters.
Nomination papers for the election are available from Electoral Services, PO Box 503, Town Hall, Middlesbrough, TS1 9FX and must be delivered to the Returning Officer no later than 4pm on Friday, November 19.
If the election is contested the poll will take place on Thursday, December 16.
Those residents who are already registered to vote in the area will receive a Poll Card advising them of where their polling station is located, between November 12 and November 19
The last date to register to vote in this by-election will be Tuesday, November 30.

Deadline for receiving new postal vote and postal proxy applications, and for changes to existing postal or postal proxy votes, is 5pm on Wednesday, December 1.
Deadline for receiving proxy applications, and for changes to existing proxy votes is 5pm on Wednesday, December 8.
Applications for an emergency proxy vote applied for on grounds of medical emergency or inability to attend the polling station because of work reasons occurred after 5pm on Wednesday, December 8, must be submitted to the Electoral Registration Officer by 5pm on Thursday, December 16.
