Premises licence applications

Businesses which apply for a new premises licence, or a significant change to a premises licence they already have, must go through a public consultation before we grant their request. 

Applications for new premises licences, or changes ('variations') to existing premises licences, are listed on this page. Each notice (PDF) has information about how to make a comment on the application. Comments on an application are known as 'representations', and can either be in support of, or against, the application.

Premises licence reviews

An application can be made to review a premises licence if the premises is believed not to be complying with licensing objectives. These are:

  • the prevention of crime and disorder
  • public safety
  • the prevention of public nuisance
  • the protection of children from harm
