Centre Square is Middlesbrough’s premier outdoor events space, and plays host to some of the town's most popular events, including the Christmas Lights Switch On and Middlesbrough Mela.
Surrounding Central Library and mima, Centre Square covers an area of 19,000 square metres and includes a 120-jet water feature, steel walkways, and large areas of lawn. It was designed by Erick van Egeraat Associated Architects, along with landscape architects West 8.
