Search Teesside Archives catalogues

Teesside Archives will be temporarily closed until spring 2024 while the Dorman Museum is refurbished. While we're closed, we'll answer email enquiries where possible, but document copying and our research service will be suspended until we reopen.

You can search our catalogues online through the National Archives Discovery catalogue. To exclusively search the Teesside Archives catalogues in the Discovery catalogue, select the 'search other archives' option in the 'held by' section, then type Teesside Archives in the box below.

Not all of our collections are fully catalogued, so our staff will help you to find relevant records which aren't yet catalogued.

Please make a note of the reference numbers for documents you'd be interested in viewing and let us know when you book your appointment, or contact us to find out more about the collections.

Many Church of England parish registers for Middlesbrough and Redcar & Cleveland have been digitised as part of the Yorkshire Parish Records Project and are available to view on FindmyPast.

Records available online

Yorkshire parish records are available to search and view on FindmyPast. A list is available showing the parishes and covering dates for baptisms, marriages, and burials.

School records including admission registers and logbooks from 1870 to 1914 are available to search and view on FindmyPast. A list of schools included in the project is available.

Please note, FindmyPast is a subscription website with free access available at Teesside Archives and some local libraries.
