Christmas in Middlesbrough kicks off this weekend, with a festive night at the movies on Saturday and the Christmas Lights Switch On on Sunday.
A festive night at the movies
Wrap up warm and head down to Centre Square on Saturday evening for our festive night at the movies, where we'll be watching Elf. The film will be subtitled for everyone to enjoy.

Christmas Lights Switch On
Get ready for plenty of live entertainment, music, foodie treats, and loads of festive fun at the Christmas Lights Switch On! As well as the all-important lights switch on, the event will also feature the Big Sing, festive hunts, and a funfair.
Sunday also sees the launch of our Walking with the Snowman trail around the town centre.
