A bumper weekend of festive fun in Middlesbrough

Festive fun is back in Middlesbrough this weekend, with a bumper pick of seasonal events and activities for all the family to enjoy.

Pantomime season returns to Middlesbrough Theatre with Peter Pan, playing from Friday, December 3 until Friday, December 31.

The swashbuckling family adventure stars Mark Little from Neighbours as Captain Hook and Philip Green, who has flown back in for another star turn on the Middlesbrough stage as Peter Pan.

Tickets are on sale now and available from the Middlesbrough Theatre website or by calling the box office on 01642 81 51 81.

Visitors to the town centre on Saturday can warm up their voices ready to join in with the Big Sing. Featuring a host of festive favourites, the community singers and choirs will lead the crowds through Christmas songs old and new.

The free event can be joined at any time between 10am and 3pm on the crossroads between Linthorpe Road and Corporation Road, near to Sports Direct and House of Fraser.

For those seeking more exciting and ‘moving' festive experiences, tickets for the virtual reality Santa's Sleigh at the Dorman Museum are now on sale for weekends and Christmas school holidays in December.

The 4D ride will fully immerse visitors in a high definition Christmas experience via virtual reality headsets. It also includes movement and motion as it simulates the sleigh soaring through the sky.

Tickets are £4 per person or £14 for a family of four. Recommended for age five plus, the sleigh holds up to six people and can be booked online the ticket source website or by calling 01642 813781.
