Children’s Centres, Libraries, and The National Literacy Trust’s Middlesbrough Hub are supporting Bath Book Bed, a national campaign from BookTrust, which puts stories firmly at the centre of a good night’s sleep.
Getting children to sleep at night is one of the most challenging aspects about being a parent or carer with young children, however it doesn’t need to be a battle.
Reading charity BookTrust, have launched a new booklet featuring TV parenting guru Jo Frost and sleep ‘expert’ Daddy Pig who say nightly routines involving a bedtime story are the quick way to get to the land of nod.
Parents can pick up their free copy of the Bath Book Bed booklet at Central Library or one of the Community Hubs in Middlesbrough.
Middlesbrough parents, with a child under 5, can also pick up their free copy, along with Peppa Pig books, donated by Penguin Random House through the National Literacy Trust’s Middlesbrough Hub, to read at bedtime, from any Middlesbrough Healthy Child Clinic during the week beginning 11th March.
