New route announced for the Magical Middlesbrough Parade

The Magical Middlesbrough Parade with Santa & his Reindeer will take place on Sunday, December 2.

A new route has been announced for 2018 and the parade will now start at Campus Heart, Teesside University at 1pm before heading through the town and finishing on Corporation Road.

Christmas characters will continue the celebrations in Centre Square after the reindeer parade has finished.

There will also be Festive Huts on Linthorpe Road occupied by local businesses selling various food, drink and craft items.

Cllr Mick Thompson, Middlesbrough Council’s Executive Member for Culture and Communities, said: “The Magical Middlesbrough Parade is a huge community event, bringing everyone together.

“Middlesbrough children have created props and costumes, community groups will perform and families often spend the whole day in the city centre enjoying the fantastic shops and restaurants we have to offer.

“The Christmas lights switch-on last week was a fantastic success and enjoyed by so many people. We hope everyone will enjoy the Magical Middlesbrough Parade in the same way and all of the other fun festive activities on offer.

The parade is taking place with thanks to sponsors Ashall Projects, Bowmer & Kirkland, Cleveland Centre and media sponsor TFM Radio.
