Parents and guardians are being reminded to get their applications in for free school meals over the summer holidays.
With just two weeks remaining, eligible families are being urged by Middlesbrough Council to contact their children's schools at the earliest opportunity.
New guidance published by the Department for Education (DfE) means that schools have to submit claims for free school meal vouchers at least seven days before the school closes for the summer break.
Applications forms can be found on the free school meals page and should be returned to schools as soon as possible.
A Middlesbrough Council spokesman said: "For those already eligible, it's essential that they visit the website and get their applications in as soon as possible.
"Those who have had a change of circumstances and are planning to apply also need to do so at the earliest opportunity."
