Fly tipping

Illegal disposal of waste or 'fly tipping' ruins our parks and open spaces. Middlesbrough Council investigates incidents of fly tipping and prosecutes those responsible when sufficient evidence can be gathered. The maximum penalty in court is a £50,000 fine.

We will remove fly tipping from council-owned land within 24 hours of notification on a normal working day.

When reporting a fly tip in Middlesbrough, please tell us the exact location. If you're unable to do this, please give us as much information about the location as possible, e.g. the nearest property number, street light number, or road junction.

If you witnessed, or have evidence of the people responsible for, a fly tip, please complete this online form.

If you don't know who was responsible but would still like to report a fly tip, please complete this online form.
