Telecare Service

Telecare makes it possible for people to maintain an independent and dignified life in their own home by coupling high-tech equipment and communication technology with care services.

Telecare equipment includes a range of sensors, detectors, monitors and alarms tailored to individual need. These include motion sensors that will detect if an individual has fallen, sensors to detect environmental dangers such as fire or gas, sensors which detect when a door has been opened, or bogus caller alarms.

The sensors are monitored by the 24 hour Connect contact centre, 365 days a year, or can be set up to directly alert a family member or carer. Individuals can get help at any time by pressing their personal trigger. As soon as an alert is received, response centre staff will act immediately.

Telecare gives people the opportunity to feel safe in their home knowing that support is there. The service also gives carers and relatives the reassurance of knowing that someone is keeping a discreet eye on the person they care for.
