Services across Middlesbrough are adapting fast to meet the latest Government guidance on the Coronavirus pandemic. The drive to slow the spread of the disease was dramatically escalated this week, with the public told to stay at home where possible, avoid gatherings and all unnecessary travel.
Consumers are being warned to be on the alert for fraudsters taking advantage of the ongoing Coronavirus pandemic. The scammers are preying on fear and uncertainty surrounding the disease to set up fake advertisements for goods in short supply and send out emails about the Coronavirus.
Middlesbrough Mayor Andy Preston today branded as ‘cowards' those behind a mindless attack on cars of workers providing vital support for the vulnerable. And he called on anyone with information on those responsible to come forward and help bring them to justice.
