Public rights of way map

There will be a change to your usual bin collection day on week commencing Monday 30 May, due to the extra Bank Holiday. Our crews will be working between Monday to Thursday and all refuse collections that week will move a day forward. View your bin collection calendar.

This map is a working copy of the definitive map for Middlesbrough, showing all public rights of way. The map shows all known furniture that exists and the different status of the routes available, including public footpaths and bridleways.

When using the map, be aware that:

  • public footpath (purple line) is for walkers only
  • public bridleway (green line) is for walkers, horse riders and cyclists only

Please note: the data on this map is for information only; it should not be relied on for determining the position or alignment of any public right of way. If you wish to use the map for legal purposes you must make an appointment to see the definitive map. To do this, please contact the Public Rights of Way Officer on 01642 728153.
