Middlesbrough's amazing independent businesses led the way as Covid-19 lockdown restrictions were finally eased at the weekend. Many were able to open for the first time in over three months, with bars, hair salons and eateries springing back into life on Saturday (July 4).
Two "disgraceful" dumping ground properties in east Middlesbrough have been cleaned up following council interventions. Middlesbrough Council's Environmental Enforcement team took action to secure improvements at the two private properties in Netherfields.
Local residents are being asked for their views on the future development of Nunthorpe Grange. Their input will help to shape a number of proposed developments set to take place over the coming years. While any proposal will be subject to the normal planning approval process, the input of the local community at an early stage can help to mitigate long-term impacts.
