Statement of Community Involvement (SCI)

The Statement of Community Involvement (SCI) is one of a series of documents councils need to prepare under the Planning and Compulsory Purchase Act 2004 (as amended 2008 and 2012). The SCI sets out the council's policy for involving the community in the preparation of Local Development Plan documents and in the consideration of planning applications.

The council adopted the revised SCI on 17 March 2020.

Copies of the newly adopted SCI and a summary leaflet are available to download below.

Copies of both documents will also be available for inspection at the Civic Centre and the town's libraries and community hubs.
