Household Waste Recycling Centre

Middlesbrough residents can use the Household Waste Recycling Centre on Haverton Hill Road, Stockton, to dispose of excess recycling waste. The site is run by Suez and has recycling facilities for almost all your waste needs. Staff are on hand to assist and advise you of where to dispose of different items.

Opening times

The Household Waste Site is open every day except Christmas Day, Boxing Day, and New Year's Day, during the following hours:

Summer (1 April to 31 October): 8am to 7pm
Winter (1 November to 31 March): 8am to 6pm

Please note the site will close at 4pm on both Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve.

Restrictions

This site is not open to commercial vehicles, traders, or landlords. Residents using vans or trailers need a permit before visiting the site. There are restrictions on the number of visits that can be made annually by vans and trailers. Please call the Environment Contact Centre on 01642 726001 to request a permit.
