Waste Recycling Site

Where your waste goes

The SUEZ energy-from-waste (EfW) plant (near the Household Waste Recycling Site) at Haverton Hill processes municipal and confidential waste for the four Teesside local authorities of Middlesbrough, Stockton, Redcar and Cleveland, and Hartlepool.

This means that most of the waste generated in the Tees Valley that can't be recycled is diverted from landfill and used to generate electricity.
