The Achievement service supports and challenges schools to raise the achievement of all pupils, including specifically targeted groups, so that all pupils have the opportunity to attend a good or better school.
It does this through School Effectiveness Strategy, which focuses on:
- Monitoring ongoing school performance and outcomes at the end of key stages, and challenging schools to improve further through self-review and evaluation
- Working in partnership with schools, including teaching schools, to broker school improvement support
