Middlesbrough Achievement Partnership (MAP)

England is in lockdown. From Wednesday 2 December, lockdown will end and Middlesbrough will move into Tier 3 restrictions.

Middlesbrough Achievement Partnership (MAP) is a partnership between all Middlesbrough schools, the council, and a number of external partners.

Their aim is that: ‘Together we will secure a brighter future for all Middlesbrough children and young people’

The MAP partnership includes every primary, secondary, and special school, regardless of status. Its primary focus is to co-ordinate and share the good practice happening across Middlesbrough, while also exploring good practice from other schools across the country.

MAP works in collaboration, signposting opportunities, offering research and development openings, sharing best practice, piloting and developing provision and support, and building pathways for every child and young person to achieve the best possible outcome for them.

MAP is governed by a board of headteacher representatives from primary, secondary, and special schools, along with representatives from the council, Public Health, school governors, and the teaching school alliances.
