Middlesbrough Mayor Andy Preston wants to hear from residents on how to spend £1m to make the town even better.
A survey is being launched today as the Council makes plans to allocate cash from the government’s Towns Fund.
Let’s Talk Your Town is an opportunity for residents to come forward with new ideas for projects in different areas.
People will be asked if they favour the amount being split between every ward in the town, whether it should be focused on a smaller number of larger projects or dedicated to one new facility.
Mayor Preston said: “Our winning bid to government included a £1m pot to spend on community projects.
“I want to hear great ideas from right across town on how that cash could be used.
“We could do lots of little things, or concentrate on bigger projects, please have your say. Together we can make Middlesbrough even better.”
The funding must be spent on infrastructure projects that will have a lasting impact over a number of years. Examples could include play areas, sports facilities or growing areas to boost sustainability.
Middlesbrough received a total allocation of £21.9m from the government's Town Fund. You can find out more about town centre development plans here.
Let’s Talk Your Town can be accessed here and will close on Monday 14 June.
