Notices of private or urgent meetings of the Executive

Executive meetings are held every month, on a Wednesday at 12:30pm in the Town Hall. Members of the public are welcome to attend.

The agenda and the reports for each meeting are available on ModernGov. Copies can also be provided at the meeting if you attend.

Private meetings

In exceptional circumstances, we have the legal right to exclude members of the public from all, or part, of an Executive decision-making meeting. To do this, we must give notice in advance of our intention to hold a private meeting. If members of the public disagree with the plan to hold a private meeting, they may give a response (called a 'representation') to say why they think the item should be discussed in public.

Upcoming private meetings

Subject to approval by the Executive at the respective meeting, the items below are considered to be exempt under Schedule 12A of the Local Government Act 1972.

Expected meeting date Meeting of Key decision? Subject Reason for exemption
2 October 2024 Executive Yes

EXEMPT: options for utilisation of Levick Court Residential Care Home

As part of the budget savings the re-provisioning of Levick Court Residential Care Home was identified and within that included the option to provide alternative residential care for the current service users and seek opportunities to maximise the utilisation of the property working with partner organisations.

Approval is therefore required on the recommended option and the potential to consult with staff in terms of potential redundancies.

Approval is being sought on the recommended option for the utilisation of Levick Court Residential Care Home.

Pursuant to Paragraph 3 of Schedule 12a of the Local Government Act 1972:

Information relating to the financial or business affairs of any particular person (including the authority holding that information).

Making a representation

To make a representation, please contact the council's Monitoring Officer, Charlotte Benjamin, via email to charlotte_benjamin@middlesbrough.gov.uk. You must do this at least 10 working days before the expected meeting date.

We must make a statement responding to any representations which are made. This page will be updated to include details of any representations, as well as our response.
