As of Friday, Middlesbrough's infection rate was 36.2 per 100,000 of population. The town remains on the government's Covid watchlist.
Local residents are being asked for their views on future development in a key Middlesbrough Community. Over the next six weeks they'll have the chance to have their say on the Marton West Neighbourhood Plan. Those views - which can be submitted until Monday, October 26 - will then be fed into an independent public examination.
Residents across Middlesbrough are being asked for their views on bigger bins and a proposed move from weekly to fortnightly bin collections. The move - aimed at boosting recycling rates, reducing carbon emissions and waste going to landfill and saving money - would see household waste and recycling collected every two weeks.
