Bin collection dates for April 2024 onwards are now available, including garden waste collections for those who have subscribed.
There's a new way to get your bin collection dates this year. You'll need to sign in to your MyMiddlesbrough account, and your bin collection dates will be displayed on your homepage.
You'll need to type in your address the first time, but after that it'll be saved.
You'll need to register for a MyMiddlesbrough account if you don't have one. Once you've registered, you'll get an email with the subject 'Signup | Verification' within 10 minutes. It includes a link which you'll need to click to set up your account. Sometimes the email might go into your 'junk' or 'spam' folder, so look out for it. If you don't get a verification email, it's because you've typed your email address incorrectly, and you'll need to sign up again.
Please note, garden waste collections are not currently shown on your calendar, even if you've subscribed for the service. These dates will be available in your calendar in the next few weeks.
Fortnightly rubbish collections
We're introducing fortnightly rubbish collections for residents with a black refuse bin. There are no changes for residents who use sacks or a communal bin.
Check the fortnightly collections frequently asked questions to find out more about the changes.
Garden waste
We're introducing a charge for garden waste collections. You'll need to subscribe to the garden waste service, and pay an annual charge to get your waste collected.
Don't forget
Your bin must be out for collection by 7am on the day it's being collected. Please don't leave waste beside your bin because it won't be collected.
If you have too much rubbish
If you have too much rubbish, you can book an appointment to take it to the Household Waste Recycling Centre.
If you have a large item which won't fit into your bin, or you need to get rid of electrical items, you can book a bulky waste collection.
