Walking

Walking is an ideal form of exercise. It's free, and you do not need any special equipment. Regular walking can improve confidence, stamina, and energy, as well as your heart health. It's one of the best ways to become more active.

All of our parks are suitable for walking, so they're a great place to start. You can also check out some hidden gem walks on We are Middlesbrough.

If you're walking around the town, use the Public Rights of Way map to find public footpaths and bridleways so you do not end up on private land.

Remember to stay safe when you're walking and cross roads carefully. If you're walking in the countryside, make sure you've read the Countryside Code before you set off.
