Travel and getting around

England is now in lockdown again. A number of businesses must close and there are more restrictions on meeting people. Find out what this means for you.

It's now a legal requirement to wear a face covering while you're on public transport, including buses and trains. Not wearing a face mask is against the law and you could be fined.

Make sure you're familiar with the government's safer travel for passengers guidance before you travel.

Safer transport guidance for operators is also available.

Information about public transport in Middlesbrough and the rest of the Tees Valley is available on the Connect Tees Valley website, a one-stop shop for information about bus, train, cycle, rail and air travel, and walking, in the Tees Valley.
